Putting her daughter through school with our help!

Meet Namata Maria of the Bed Lagen group. She is the newly elected chairperson of the group succeeding Mary Apiyo. Namata runs her small produce business in a small market called Cenjere.  The group meetings also takes place inside the market. Her first loan was 300,000 shillings ($110 CAD) and she used it to add stocks of simsim and other cereals.  She is now in her third loan cycle, whereher last loan in July was for 400,000 shillings ($145 CAD). She is using her profits from her business to pay for her daughter to go to university.
